Meet Mary Puppins! Toronto’s Pet Sitter Extraordinaire!

Hi! I’m Danielle, the proud founder of Mary Puppins.

As a lifelong animal lover and devoted "auntie" to many cats and dogs (both in Toronto and my home province of Nova Scotia), I’ve always found creative ways to support myself alongside my work as an actor, writer, and filmmaker, while staying true to my love for animals.

I’ve been pet-sitting for friends and acquaintances since moving to Toronto in 2010, and over the years, I’ve seen firsthand the growing demand for reliable, compassionate pet care.

In 2020, I took a new entrepreneurial leap, turning my passion for animals into a full-time business. That’s how Mary Puppins was born, and I’ve been providing pets with the love and attention they deserve—and their owners with peace of mind while travelling—ever since.

I offer in-home pet-sitting, where I stay with your pets and ensure they’re not only cared for but loved like family. Whether it’s cuddles, playtime, or daily walks, I’m here to make sure your animals are happy and well taken care of. I also care for your home—watering plants, bringing in packages, and keeping everything tidy. Nothing makes me happier than having clients return to happy, healthy pets and a home that’s just as they left it.

For those who prefer boarding, I offer a welcoming space in my Toronto home, complete with a fenced-in yard and access to beautiful parks and lakeside walks. It’s the perfect setting for dogs to explore, play, and feel right at home.

In addition to my in-home sitting and boarding services, I offer drop-in visits when my schedule allows. My motto is simple: I’ll always be happy to help, as long as I’m available.
